Who we are
“Performance Optimisation Lab”, “POL”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to the controller responsible for your personal data when you use my.performancelab.uk and related apps (the “Site”/“Services”).

Information you give us
Contact details (name, email, phone), account/login data, and communications with us.
Profile and service data (questionnaires, bookings, preferences).
Health/fitness data (e.g., training history, movement findings, metabolic testing) only with your explicit consent, used to deliver personalised programmes.
Payment details are processed by our provider (e.g., Stripe); we receive limited billing metadata, not full card numbers.
Information we collect automatically
Usage and device data (IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, session logs).
Cookies or similar tech to keep you signed in, remember preferences, run analytics, and measure campaign performance. You can manage non-essential cookies in Cookie Settings.
Information from connected accounts (optional)
If you link external services (examples: Facebook/YouTube for media; Fitbit/Withings/Runkeeper/MyFitnessPal for activity/health logs; Mailchimp/ConvertKit for email preferences; MINDBODY-style schedulers; Stripe for billing), we receive the data necessary to provide the linked feature (e.g., profile name, tokens, workouts, subscriptions). You can disconnect at any time in your account or with the third party.

Our Services are for people 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
We use your data to:
Deliver the Services you request (set up your account, assessments, programmes, support). (Contract)

We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
We don’t sell your personal data. We share it only with:
Service providers/processors (e.g., hosting, analytics, email, payments, scheduling) under contract and only as needed to run the Services.
Professional coaches/assessors working with you, where required to deliver your plan.
Partners you choose to connect (e.g., wearables, apps).
Legal/Compliance: where required by law, to protect rights/safety, or in response to valid requests.
Business changes: if we undergo a reorganisation or asset transfer, data may transfer under equivalent protections.
If you make your member or coach profile visible, the information you include there may be seen by others; please share only what you’re comfortable making public.
Your data may be processed outside the UK/EEA. Where that happens, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., UK International Data Transfer Agreement or EU Standard Contractual Clauses and additional measures) to protect it.
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, including:
While you maintain an account or active Services.
For legal/accounting requirements (typically 6 years in the UK for certain records).
For resolving disputes and security (as needed).
You can request deletion; we’ll either delete or anonymise unless we must keep some information by law or for legitimate reasons (e.g., ongoing claim).

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, secure hosting, staff confidentiality). No system is 100% secure; help protect your account with a strong, unique password and by signing out on shared devices.
We use cookies for essential functionality, performance, and analytics. Manage non-essential cookies in Cookie Settings. Most browsers also let you control cookies. Some features may not work without them. We don’t currently respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
